Find quick answers to the most common questions about FlyingServices

FlyingServices is a marketplace for mobile services: you find verified providers – from cleaning, trades, transport and excavation work to consulting and tutoring – and book them online. Depending on the offer, the service takes place at your home, at the provider's premises or online. Payment runs securely through Stripe and is held in escrow until the job is completed.
Click “Sign up” in the top right corner, enter your email address and choose a password. After confirming your email you can complete your profile, choose a location and set your notification preferences. If you only want to book once, you can also book as a guest without an account.
FlyingServices is open to customers and providers worldwide – you pick your country when you sign up. Most providers currently operate in Austria; Austria, Germany and Switzerland are fully covered for tax purposes. Choose your location via the location icon in the top bar: the lists then show which providers serve your area, and online services can be booked regardless of location.
Yes. You can book as a guest without an account. You receive a secure link by email to view your booking, cancel it, confirm completion, leave a review and download the invoice. Keep the email – the link is your access to the booking. If you register later with the same email address, your guest bookings, invoices and credit are attached to the new account automatically.
This message appears when installing via the Samsung browser (Samsung Internet): it sets up web apps through its own installation package outside the Google Play Store, and Android currently shows this notice for such packages in general. It affects many websites and is not caused by FlyingServices – the app itself is up to date and tapping "Install anyway" is safe. To install without any warning, open flyingservices.at in Chrome and install the app there.
That means your chosen location is outside the provider's service area. You can still send them an inquiry via chat — they might make an exception; if they are not signed in, they receive your message by email. You can change your location anytime via the location icon in the top bar.
The homepage, “Services” and “Providers” share the same filter bar: category chips (with “Popular” up front for the most sought-after categories), service location, budget and pricing model, provider details such as rating or city, the “PRO” and “Online now” toggles and a sort order. Lists are paginated and your filter state is part of the address, so you can share it. The heart in the top right corner of every card saves services and providers to your favourites – you find them under “Favourites” in the account menu.
Every service states where it is offered: at your place (the provider comes to your address), at the provider's premises (you go there) or online. When booking you choose exactly one of these. For “at your place” you enter your address, and the provider's service area must cover it – otherwise you can send them an inquiry. For “at the provider” you see their address in the booking; for online appointments the link and access details are shared via the booking chat.
Pick a service, tap “Book now”, choose location and time and confirm the booking. You pay the deposit and the service price at this point (for hourly services one hour in advance) – FlyingServices holds the money in escrow and the provider only receives it after completion. The provider then has to accept your request; you are notified of every status change by email and, if enabled, by push notification.
Yes, as long as the service has not started, under “My bookings”. The service price is refunded in full on every cancellation. The deposit follows a time rule: cancel within 10 minutes of booking or more than 24 hours before the appointment and you get it back in full; with shorter notice it goes to the provider who kept the slot free for you. You can also reschedule a confirmed booking under “My bookings”: it goes back to “request” and the provider confirms the new time – the deposit carries over.
Yes. Every booking starts as a request that the provider accepts or declines within their response window (usually 24 hours). If they do not respond, the request is declined automatically. In both cases the deposit and the service price are refunded in full and you are informed by email.
Before the start you both confirm that the right person is there: the provider shows a QR code on their device that you scan – or you read the 6-digit PIN from your booking aloud. Alternatively the provider can upload a photo for confirmation. For online appointments you share the PIN in the call. Only after this verification does the service officially start.
Once the work is done, one side requests completion – usually the provider via “Request completion”, but you can do it too. The other side confirms with one click on the green “Confirm” button in the booking view. This releases the money to the provider; for hourly services, unused quarter hours are refunded to you.
If you neither confirm nor dispute within 48 hours of the completion request, the booking is automatically marked as completed and the provider receives the payout. After 6 hours without a reaction we send you a reminder. If something is wrong, you have this window to raise a dispute.
While completion has been requested but not yet confirmed, click “Something is wrong” on the booking page. The booking becomes a dispute: the money stays frozen, our team reviews the case with both sides and decides on the refund – a split is possible too.
For services at your home, the provider can offer live tracking: on the way to you they share their location and you see them approaching on a map – like a delivery service. Tracking only runs during the journey and ends with the on-site verification. It is optional and enabled by the provider per service.
Yes. When booking you can enable “recurring” – weekly, every two weeks or monthly, with an end date. The first booking becomes a series; every further appointment is charged separately to your saved card. If a payment fails, the series pauses until it is resolved. You can view and stop active series under Bookings → Recurring.
If the provider does not arrive, you can report “Provider did not show up” in the booking 30 minutes after the scheduled start. The service price and the deposit are then refunded in full. Conversely, the provider can report that you were not there – they must prove by location that they were on site; the deposit then goes to them. A booking whose identity verification has already taken place can no longer be reported as a no-show.
Yes. You can add several services to a draft (“cart”) and check out together – deposits and service prices are paid in one step, after which each booking continues on its own. How many services you can link depends on your membership: Free up to 3, Plus up to 7.
From an affected booking you can escalate the issue to our support team. The team reviews the case and can step in – for example release frozen money or decide a dispute. For general questions use the support chat in the bottom right corner or the contact page.
Yes. While the service is in progress, either side can request an extension; the other side has to agree, and you pay for the extension immediately when you confirm. For hourly services each extension is another hour at the agreed rate; for flat-rate services it is a freely agreed amount. Up to three extensions are possible, each with its own receipt. Ten minutes before the paid time ends we remind both of you.
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna, EPS, Bancontact and Amazon Pay. All payments run securely through Stripe; the payment form is embedded directly in the page. PayPal is currently not offered.
Immediately when booking – for the deposit (€5, or €1.50 with Plus) and the service price, for hourly services one hour in advance. You can pay the deposit from your credit balance if you have one. The money is held in escrow by FlyingServices until completion; if the provider declines or cancels, everything is refunded automatically.
A €5 deposit is charged on every booking – €1.50 with a Plus membership. It secures your appointment against short-notice cancellations. After successful completion you get it back, as credit for your next booking by default or to your card if you prefer. If the provider declines, cancels or does not show up, it is also refunded in full. Only if you cancel at short notice yourself – less than 24 hours before the appointment – or do not show up without cancelling does it go to the provider.
The deposit and the service price are paid at booking and held in escrow by FlyingServices – the provider does not see the money on their account yet. Only when completion is confirmed (or the 48-hour auto-confirmation kicks in) is the service price paid out to the provider and the deposit returned to you. In disputes everything stays frozen until the case is resolved.
If the provider declines, cancels, does not show up or identity verification fails, the service price and the deposit are refunded automatically – usually within a few business days to your original payment method, the deposit as credit depending on your setting. If you cancel yourself, the service price is always refunded; the deposit only if you cancel in time. For hourly services, unused quarter hours are refunded after completion. In disputes our team decides the amount.
Yes. After every paid booking an invoice is generated automatically that complies with the tax rules of the provider's country (Austria, Germany, Switzerland). Extensions and tips get their own receipts. You find everything under “Profile → Invoices” and can download each invoice as a PDF; we also retain them for you as required by law.
Credit comes from returned deposits, from loyalty and referral bonuses and from refunds we credit to you. When booking you can choose “Pay with credit” – the credit covers the deposit, while the service price is still paid via your payment method. Whether returned deposits go to your credit balance or to your card is set in your profile under “Deposit refund”. Your current balance is shown in your profile.
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (FAGG). If you book a service that takes place within those 14 days, we can only start it on time if you expressly agree to begin before the withdrawal period ends — so a checkbox at checkout asks you to waive that right for this specific booking. It only appears for short-notice bookings. Once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal is lost (§ 18 (1) no. 11 FAGG). For bookings further out you keep the full 14-day right. Full details are in our Right-of-Withdrawal policy, linked in the footer and on the booking form.
With a flat rate you pay the full amount for the service when booking, regardless of how long it takes. With an hourly rate you pay one hour in advance; billing is per started quarter hour – if the job finishes earlier, unused quarter hours are refunded. If one hour is not enough, you can extend together up to three times by one hour each. The pricing model is shown on every card and on the service page.
Yes. In the booking chat you find “Tip”: choose an amount between €1 and €1,000, pay via Stripe and the provider receives the tip in full – the payment fee is shown separately and added on top. You get a separate receipt as a PDF. Tipping requires an account.
The menu takes you to your profile. There you change personal data, contact details, profile picture, language, saved addresses, the deposit refund preference and your notifications; under “Security” your password, two-factor authentication and automatic sign-out. Your location for browsing can be changed anytime via the location icon in the top bar.
Under Profile → Delete account, after entering your password – on the website and in the apps. Open bookings must be completed or cancelled first. What gets deleted and what we must keep is explained in the “Delete your account” guide in the help centre.
Free: €5 deposit per booking, up to 3 linked bookings per order. Plus (€9.90 per month or €108.90 per year, 14-day free trial): deposit only €1.50, up to 7 linked bookings and priority support. Linked bookings means booking several services in one go – e.g. cleaning and gardening on the same day. Providers with PRO status get the Plus benefits automatically.
Under Profile → Security you can set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app (TOTP). After that, login also asks you for a 6-digit code from the app. You can disable 2FA there again at any time.
Under Profile → API keys you can create and revoke API keys to use the FlyingServices API programmatically. The full API reference is available to logged-in users under 'API' (footer/menu).
Yes, both – you find them in your profile. Loyalty bonus: after every 5 completed bookings we gift you the deposit of your next booking as credit. Refer friends: share your personal referral link; for every 5 friends who sign up and complete their first booking you also receive a gifted deposit. Your progress is shown there live.
Under “Settings → Sessions” you see every device you are signed in on, with location and last activity, and can end individual sessions. This is also where you enable automatic sign-out after inactivity (5 to 60 minutes). When you sign in on a new device, we point out sessions that are already active.
Once your booking reaches "completed" status, a star icon appears on the booking detail page asking you to "Rate service". You give 1–5 stars and an optional comment. Reviews are publicly visible on the provider's profile and help other customers decide.
Every booking has its own chat on the booking page; messages arrive in real time. Even before booking you can send a provider an inquiry from their profile – if they are not signed in, they receive it by email. For important events (acceptance, provider en route, completion request, extension) we also inform you by email and, if enabled, by push notification.
After signing in, the browser or the installed app asks whether it may send you notifications. If you accept, you receive push messages for booking status changes, new chat messages and “provider is nearby” hints. Which events you want to receive is set in your profile under Notifications; the permission itself can be revoked anytime in your browser or device settings.
